Popular Swiftkey app is now totally free on Android




This Swiftkey is actually one of the trending third-party keyboards on Android and its price tag has just been shed.

Recently, while announcing a major update with new features, the SwiftKey also surprised us with the bombshell that it is now available for free, but in-app purchases will still occur through a new add-on store.

Originally, the app allowed its users download and use it through the popular channel, Google Play for a month's free trial before paying, but as from now it will continue to work without limitations past the initial month.

Hindustantimes reports that the company says this move is to help the app extend to millions of new users and as sort of compensation to those who already bought and are running the app, SwiftKey will be giving them a free premier pack of features and keyboard themes worth $4.99.

In a report by slashgear, SwiftKey also is working on another major update with amazing new features. To show this, it’s replacing the former theme with a new one identified as Nickel, which happens to be the next element in the periodic table after Cobalt which is now their previous theme. Also, its prediction engine has improved for its 66 supported languages, this now reminds Japanese users of the new developments reaching them soon in form of an engine.

SwiftKey Flow feature, brings gliding, which actually is swiping and typing popularized by a rival Swype, now possess a distinct new look, which leaves behind a better pleasing trail to mark where your fingers have been.
